Since 2004 EVAC has been successful in organizing well publicized and well reviewed exhibitions in such media outlets as the Des Moines Register, Art Scene, Cityview, Juice, National Public Radio, and more. Showcasing emerging and professional artists alike, EVAC's exhibitions have set the tone for new independent contemporary group exhibitions and collaborations in the visual arts community citywide.

 Past exhibitions have included:

"Sub-Ritual". Our last exhibition for Artstop. Artists interpreted ceremonial and ritualistic behavior through contemporary art and performance. Hurley and Dancers, our partners in VPArts Des Moines, collaborated with improvisational dance and music.

In 2006 EVAC hosted the "Shoe Show". Hosted by the Fitch
Gallery and sponsored by the Downtown Community Alliance,
this exhibition was open to artists and art aficionados as a way to build community through the arts. All works were themed around
footwear and bartered for with goods and services, creating a unique interaction between the artist and the buyer.
