Deborah recently moved to Des Moines from Austin, Texas. She does modern, abstract art using cloth on paper. Deborah has been creating art since the 1970's and has helped to develop several "grass roots" art organizations back in Austin. She is also an activist and participitated with Code Pink creating street actions against the War in Iraq and other social injustices. These references often appear in her art and convey a personal metaphor to her empathy towards the Human Condition.
